Easy Green Smoothie

Green Smoothie Recipe - George Foreman Mix & Go Recipe
As of late I’ve really fallen in love with smoothies, especially for breakfast.  They’re so simple to make, not to mention quick. I can whip up this bad boy in under five minutes, with essentially no clean up as well. Win win! After seeing Christel and Camille’s smoothie recipes on Makeupper, and losing out on winning a George Foreman Mix & Go blender, I’ve been lucky enough to try one out for the last month or so, and have been loving how accessible it’s made smoothies for me.

Laura’s Easy Green Smoothie

1 Banana
1 Small Avocado
1 C Apple Juice (or up to 2 C depending on the size of your blender and thickness desired
Generous Handful of Baby Spinach (optional)
Handful of Ice

  1. Cut banana and avocado up into bite size cubes, don’t eat them just yet though.
  2. Into the blender, pop the Apple Juice, Ice, Spinach, Avocado then Banana.
  3. Whiz for about 10 – 15 seconds.
  4. Done.

Green Smoothie Recipe - George Foreman Mix & Go Recipe So easy – and so delicious!

This is also the perfect base for adding and creating your own smoothie. If you want it less sweet, opt out the apple juice for water, milk or yogurt. Add some berries, or add in some LSA or protein powder for an extra boost!

  1. I’m loving how simple that recipe is! Also how easy and affordable it is to have the fresh ingredients around (instead of having to rely on frozen produce). I’ll have to try this tomorrow morning since I happen to have all of those ingredients at the moment. 😀

    1. Woo! Thanks for entering Sara. The spinach is such a great option if you do have it – it’s great with the apple juice as it cancels out any bitterness the spinach might have!

        1. I was talking to Graeme about this last night, as we were coming up with a few recipes to use the Mix & Go with. I don’t see why not. I pop ice into the Mix & Go and ice cream is softer than that!

  2. Woohoo!! This is exciting! I really want to try avocado in a smoothie now – I’ve got enough of them! Hahaha! oxoxo
Thanks heaps for linking to us btw oxo

  3. Oh, wow! With Charlotte juuust about to enter the solids stage, I’ve totally got my heart set on finding the perfect blender at the moment so that I can make my own baby food for her (it’s cheaper, no preservatives… win-win!), and this one seems to fit the bill!

  4. I bought a blender to make smoothies with a couple of years ago but it’s really big and clunky, and a lot of effort to use and wash. I’m trying to focus more on my health and wellness so this would be perfect for me!
